Terms & Conditions

These are the terms on which we sell our handmade bakes to you. Please take a moment to read them, as by placing an order you agree to them.

About these terms

These terms set out how we sell our bakes to you and what you can expect from us. They apply to every order placed through our website, so please read them before you order. If there is anything you are unsure about, get in touch and we will be happy to explain.

Who we are

Bambi’s Bakes is a small independent home bakery based in the UK, making cakes, biscuits and treats fresh to order. When these terms say ‘we’, ‘us’ or ‘our’, they mean Bambi’s Bakes; ‘you’ means the person placing the order.

Ordering and acceptance

You place an order by choosing your bakes, going through the checkout and paying. When you do, you are making an offer to buy from us. We will send you an email confirming that we have received your order, but this is not the same as accepting it.

A contract between us is only formed once we accept your order and begin preparing it. Up to that point, we may decline or cancel an order, for example if an item is out of stock, if we cannot deliver to your area, or if there has been an obvious pricing or description error. If we cannot accept your order, we will let you know and refund any payment you have made in full.

Prices and payment

All prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and include any applicable taxes. Delivery costs, where they apply, are shown separately at checkout before you pay. We may update our prices from time to time, but the price you pay is the one shown when you place your order.

Payment is taken securely at checkout through our payment provider. We do not see or store your full card details; these are handled by the payment provider on your behalf. Your order will not be prepared until payment has been received in full.

Delivery

Everything is baked fresh and dispatched UK-wide via Royal Mail Tracked. We will let you know when your order is on its way. Any delivery timescales we give are estimates rather than guarantees, as once your order is with Royal Mail it is in their hands.

Please make sure the delivery address you give us is correct and complete, as we cannot be responsible for orders that go astray because of a wrong or incomplete address.

Cancellations and changes

As everything is baked fresh to order, we can only accept a change or cancellation before we have started preparing your order. If you need to change or cancel something, please get in touch as soon as you can and we will let you know whether it is still possible.

Once an order has been made or dispatched, it can no longer be changed or cancelled for a change of mind. For full detail on refunds and what happens if something is wrong with your order, please see our Returns & Refunds policy. Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Our liability

We take real care over every order and will always do our best to put things right if something goes wrong. Where the law allows, our liability to you is limited to the value of the order in question, and we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable at the time you ordered.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Please also read the allergens section above carefully before ordering.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any disputes will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales.
